Photoshoots post Quarantine
This is such a weird blog post to write, but here we are more than two months into this pandemic and daily life is so different. I would consider myself a homebody more than most but even for me, this time has been tough. I am trying to be more present with my kids and husband, so I haven’t jumped at the chance to get back into booking clients because right now I feel like the demands of my time are so much more than what they used to be. I have honestly gone back and forth as to whether or not I would even take on any more clients in 2020.
Once the quarantine was lifted, I decided to schedule a family that had booked me before this whole thing started, and let me tell you that before that session I felt nervous, rusty and unsure of myself. But then I met this sweet family, pulled my camera out of my bag and it all came back to me…the feeling of capturing something meaningful for this family, the feeling of creating art from scratch and the in-the-moment joy I feel when I am doing what I LOVE. I am thankful to this family for giving me that reminder and I am excited to share their gallery because I feel like it brought me back to life, even if just for a little bit.
