Getting Ready for Picture Day

PAPERLESS ORDERING

All ordering takes place after picture day when your student’s online gallery is delivered. We want you to only purchase what you love, so we do not collect money or order forms before picture day.

NO FORCED SMILES

I don’t force kids to smile: Most kids will strike a pose for the camera. But some children are naturally more timid when it comes to picture day. Though I do go to great lengths to keep them happy in front of the camera, I love to capture them just how they are, and sometimes that means they may not give me that full grin.

VARIETY OF PRODUCTS AND PRICES

There are a variety of options for purchasing photos from a-la-carte print products, to digital images and framed magnets or boutique canvas wraps. There are no minimum order requirements and all prints are delivered to the school for distribution to keep shipping costs down.

What parents need to know about photo day!

  • The gallery link is sent to the school when the photos are ready, which is typically 2-3 weeks after picture day. They in turn notify the parents, but if you want to be the first to know then keep coming back to the school photo website that was sent out notifying you of photo day.

  • Depending on if the background is black or grey, I recommend your child wearing colors that compliment their eyes and skin tone and suggest subtle patterns. I also suggest avoiding graphic tees.

  • All purchasing takes place after you view your photos.

    Prints start as low as $8 and I offer a variety of options both a-la-carte and bundle package deals at discounted pricing.

    I do not have a minimum order requirement and since all orders are placed after viewing the child’s photos, parents are allowed to choose both how much they order and/or if they want to order at all.

  • No proofs are sent home. All orders take place online!

    Parents will be given access to their child’s gallery. Each child will be provided with at least 2-5 images, in both color and black and white. The parent can then choose the photos they would like to purchase, as opposed to having a pose chosen for them!

    I have a variety of print sizes, unique products and also offer digital images for future printing and archiving.

  • YES! This is the beauty of purchasing digital images, you receive a personal print release and can print however you like. I cannot guarantee the color/quality of outside third party print manufacturers, but have a few print companies I recommend. Just ask!

  • In most cases, all prints are delivered to the school in approximately 2-3 weeks after the ordering deadline. Please reach out to hello@jennifersaltsman.com if you did not receive your print order!

  • Unfortunately, I do not offer make-up days for most of my schools but I do offer an annual School Mini session and announce those to my newsletter recipients so be sure to sign up!
