I can’t tell you how much I love photographing preschool and elementary school students! I spend less than a minute usually with each student, but getting that genuine smile brings me the greatest joy! I love seeing ALL the expressions and won’t stop pushing my shutter button until I know that I’ve got a glimpse of their true personality. I believe as a photographer, you have to allow the person you are photographing to feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera and I wouldn’t want to leave that up to anyone else. This is why I don’t outsource or have a second shooter. Even with schools with more than 700 students, I am the ONLY one that photographs each and every student!

With all that being said, I’m completely exhausted at the end of school shooting season! Here is a glimpse into some of the students that I have had the pleasure of photographing the past few years!
